Shiv Ganga Vrudh Ashram Renovation

While we were working with Vikas Prathmik Vidyalaya, we also felt that along with kids and education, our objective was also to take care of the old. We visited the Shiv Ganga Vrud Ashram and again found this place also in a sad and desolate state. The housemates did not have any adequate facilities to make their lives comfortable.

The home needed a lot of change, so we decided to renovate it as well and make it a happy and comfortable home for the old.

We completed this project in 3 phases:

Phase 1 :

• Bathrooms were built to provide them with privacy and hygiene
• A separate washing area and a platform with washbasins was made.

Phase 2 :

• Western style toilets
• Changed the sliding window panels
• Renovated the kitchen – tiling and painting

Phase 3 :

• Dormitory area – tiling, painting and new curtains
• Automated beds

This change and added comforts has made life for the elderly comfortable.
